An experienced IT Operations Shift leader / Application Support Analyst / Linux Unix Administrator is required for a 3 month contract for leading media organisation in London, to provide 247 operational support, incident management, ensuring the availability of their systems used for their renowned Online products & services.
Responsibilities for the IT Operations Engineer / Service Desk Analyst (Linux Administration, Windows Server) will also include: Ensuring all incidents are logged accurately, and managed or escalated where appropriate, ensuring efficient diagnosis. It is essential that the Operations Engineer has the ability to understand complex systems built from many separate software and hardware components.
It is essential that the Support Engineer (Linux / Unix Admin - ITIL) has experience of Systems Administration of Linux / Unix, Web Servers, networks & databases and also a broad technical background of Windows, networks & web servers. You will have Application Support experience within an operational / service desk environment, logging and managing incidents, and will possess superb customer facing skills.
Additional skills / experience that would be beneficial include ITIL process experience, Web Application architectures and programming skills (PHP, Perl, Apache, MySQL, HTML).
