IT Operations Engineer Job

IT OPERATIONS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in West Chester, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Operations engineer will be responsible for creating/managing existing Shell Scripting in our client's internal application.
- Operations Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting Windows applications.
- Operations Engineer will ensure proper monitoring of all environment URLs for availability and will be able to identify monitoring gaps.
- Operations Engineer will also be responsible for proper escalation and notification for each project and troubleshooting.
- Operations Engineer will also resolve Client Engagement Support issues, create and document processes ranging from sever creation to proper response to alerts. .

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- MINIMUM of five (5+) years of prior work experience in IT, including recent 3+ years of work experience in an enterprise (100+ server) environment.
- Extensive experience with installation, configuration, administration, tuning, and troubleshooting complex Windows application installations.
- Extensive 24/7 Level 2 Support experience in troubleshooting production environments
- Ability to respond to critical issues, manage critical trouble tickets and drive towards permanent resolutions.
- Strong working knowledge of experience in Powershell Scripting, BAT for automating common functions.Extensive experience with SQL DB & Excel Macros programming

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in migrating applications from development/test environments to production including customization.
- Active participation in infrastructure architecture, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security.
- Experience with complex Windows based environments.
- Secondary skill sets should focus on Unix/Linux based environments.
- Experience in VB/Powershell Scripting, BAT for automating common functions.
- Experience in Azure Pack implementation (Highly Desirable).
- Experience with automation tools (Puppet, Chef)
