IT Operations Engineer

Job Description

A new, revolutionary and award-winning VoIP and Voicemail service is seeking a talented IT Operations Engineer to provide technical expertise and support around N Tiers products and platform maintenance.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced source code professional to join a fast-paced division of a leading Telecoms provider, working primarily with Linux and Java application servers, as well as incorporating app development, NoSQL, JEE and XMPP.

These already well-regarded and established players have passed prototype stage, and wish to take their VoIP project to launch phase. The desire to employ at this time comes to ensure that the resulting live product is entirely operational and optimised. The company pride themselves on quality and user experience, and need a solutions-orientated engineer to aid this project's completion and ensure their competitive placement as a major VoIP player against the likes of Skype, Viber and Tango.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced diploma in IT and 3 years or more experience in a Java Admin Platform (Weblogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, Apache, JBoss, etc). Agile methodologies are utilised throughout, so good contribution is paramount to the end-game. Unix or Linux administrative knowledge (preferably RedHatt) is required alongside Oracle 11G or MySQL experience, Python capability, source code control and reporting tool experience, bug tracking familiarity, and a preferable understanding of NoSQL, PHP and ejabberd. We want team players, so loner genius types need not apply (unless you're really something!).

REQUIRED SKILLS

- NoSql, JEE, Java Application & Admin Server experience
