IT Monitoring Specialist

For a large international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:

IT MONITORING SPECIALIST to ensure the continuity of the monitoring in place and contributing to its enhancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Install a new agent according to our client's standards on new Servers and/or new application
- Review/validate "ITIL changes" in order to assess the impact/workload for the monitoring
- Create/update/enhance dashboards
- Analyze wrong behavior and raise & followup ticket to the vFabric support team
- Interact with the Application, DB Oracle, AIX (IBM) or Linux teams in order to create/enhance the monitoring
- Provide technical support L1 procedure as well as train the L1 team
- Update monitoring documentation

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- 3 - 5 years experience in IT production environment
- Degree in Information Technology (HES, HEC or University)
- Working experience with a monitoring tool and/or a Client Server in Java
- Good knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting
- Good communication skills in English and French (Fluent)
- Knowledge of vFabric Hyperic tool (VMWare) would be a plus

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT UNTIL THE END OF 2014 IN THE FIRST INSTANCE. THE CLIENT IS LOCATED ON LAKE GENEVA, IN LAUSANNE. INFO-TECH WILL PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT THROUGH YOUR RELOCATION IF YOU ARE WORKING IN SWITZERLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
