IT MANAGER/IT TEAM LEADER - ITIL/CITRIX/FIREWALLS

Tangent are looking for IT Team Leaders to work a 6 months rolling contract in New Zealand for a Global leading insurance company. If you have an IT management background and has worked for a Insurance or Banking company previously then please apply!

The IT Team Leader is responsible for management and delivery of all BAU IT projects across support, infrastructure, applications and development. They will also manage the development team members and application support function.

Support of key Skyline initiatives as they relate to BAU resources will be a strong requirement. There will be requirement for close resource and time management to ensure deliverables are met.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADERSHIP

- Manage the development team along with any external contractors to ensure that all development projects run on time and budget.
- Support the service desk function for all application support requests and manage prioritisation and service desk tickets through to completion.
- Work with the Change Leader and team to deliver on required mandates/initiatives that require resourcing from the wider IT Team.
- Contribute to the continuously improve the company's project delivery capabilities.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- Ensure that appropriate resources across the entire IT Team are engaged as required on each project and work with the Change Leader to ensure resources are managed effectively.
- Manage projects across both development and infrastructure teams
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage project risks and issues throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Establish project structure, governance and reporting including ensuring all project team members are aware of their individual roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of the PMP (including a justifiable ROI and realistic project schedule) and all other required deliverables defined within the Willis Project Framework

Provide resource plans allowing the projects to be properly staffed with the required skill sets.

- Development knowledge across applications both web-based and client-based.
- Infrastructure knowledge across all major technologies used in Willis; Networking, Citrix, WINTEL Servers, Workstations, VOIP, VC, Firewalls, Proxies.
- ITIL v3 or v4 preferable
- Service desk software and operational knowledge
