IT Installation Technician Job

INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St Louis, Missouri.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Understanding of wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN)
- Planning and directing large scale deployment activities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Installing and configuring moderately complex software on Cisco Routers and Switches
- Collaborating with Network Engineers, Install Technicians, Network Administrators and Implementation Coordinators to achieve IT goals when rolling out new network technologies
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with vendors contracted by Client for services or equipment
- Maintaining service level agreements to manage customer expectations and to achieve quality standards

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience with planning and directing large scale deployment activities.
- Detailed understanding of wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), and conducting test and turn up procedures
- Understanding of global, wide area network (WAN) technologies including VoIP, MPLS, Frame Relay, and VPN over DSL as well as the traffic protocols commonly used with those technologies
- Experience or user-level understanding of common database functionality such as creating records, maintaining data integrity and performing ad hoc queries
- Experience analysing logistical and technical aspects of various network solutions and being able to determine and prioritize available options based on that analysis
- Experience installing and configuring moderately complex software on Cisco Routers and Switches

BONUS POINTS!

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Inventory auditing experience is a plus
- Experience with importing and exporting data in Excel and various databases is a plus
- Experience with creating network diagrams and designing wireless deployments a plus
