IT Infrastructure Project Manager Job

IT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

- Experience managing large-scale Infrastructure IT projects.
- PMI Methodologies for Project Management
- Six (6+) years of IT PM experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Responsible for managing and directing one or more project teams to meet complex project objectives.
- Reviews, evaluates and formulates project plans, schedules and budgets.
- Organizes and guides project operations through the use of project methodologies.
- Evaluates development and reports progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects.
- Works with departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training, communications and support.
- May contribute to the disaster recovery plan and implement when necessary.
- Creates project plans and teamwork assignments, identifies resource needs, directs daily work efforts, and tracks key project milestones.
- Responsible for funding and budget of projects.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Utilizes PMI project management methodologies.
- Ability to apply Project Management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrates ability to meet scheduled milestones to ensure project objectives are met in a timely manner and has in-depth knowledge of the principals, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing infrastructure projects.
- Can identify issues or risks associated with a project, escalating them and possibly implementing mitigation strategies for risk prevention and timely resolution.
- Ability to analyze business unit technology needs, dissecting complex problems.
- Ability to track and monitor project execution, regularly updating project plans and status reports.
- Ability to negotiate deliverables from initial requirements to final implementation across multiple business units and functional areas.
- Can coordinate moderate numbers of staff to manage one or more cross functional projects of medium to high complexity.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, BS Degree in Business (MIS) or related discipline
- Scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard deployment practices.
- Project Management experience with infrastructure teams, networking, Servers (physical and virtual), VMware, server (upgrades and migrations), data management, security, operations, disaster recovery, desktop, and Storage (SAN, NAS).

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in multiple areas of technology.
- PMP certification.
- Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills.
