IT Hosting Sourcing Specialist

IT HOSTING DELIVERY/SOURCING SPECIALISTS REQUIRED TO JOIN A CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CLIENT.

THIS ROLE IS TO BE BASED IN WARRINGTON WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED.

THE CONTRACT WILL RUN TO DECEMBER 2013.

YOU WILL HAVE A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE WORKING IN COMPLEX IT ENVIRONMENTS AND A SPECIALIST WITHIN THE AREA OF AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES:

* Data Centre Hosting
* Mid-range Technologies
* Mainframe Technologies

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Hosting Sourcing Specialist will be accountable for developing the optimum sourcing approach that meets the strategic ambitions of the programme measured against value for money, service quality, and future flexibility. You will have an in-depth up-to date view of the current Hosting market place and supplier landscape and the ability to translate and overlay market opportunity into solutions that meet the clients business & IT strategy.

IN ESSENCE THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

* Developing the interlock with other hosting work streams and programme strands
* Supporting and providing the Programme/Strand Lead with thought leadership and market in-sight within hosting solutions
* Producing collateral for workshops, Executive updates

THE IT HOSTING SOURCING SPECIALIST WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE FOLLOWING DELIVERABLES THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS:

* Hosting Strand Sourcing Strategy & Options Analysis
* Commercial Negotiation, Strategy & Plans
* Supplier Engagement Strategy & Plans
* Stakeholder Management Plans
* Business Case & Financial Modelling
* Service Definitions & Descriptions
* Proposed Charging & Commercial Models
* Service Level Requirements
* Financial & Budgetary Plans
* Risk, Issues, Action, Decision Logs
* Progress Reports & Executive Updates
* Exit Plans
* Transition Plans
* Stakeholder Presentations

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Working in a Senior Programme Delivery role
* Defining services and solutions similar to the scope of the Hosting Strand
* Developing sound commercial and financial solutions to complex IT technical and service issues
* Leading delivery of a formal procurement exercise for IT service contract
* Providing insight to and influencing senior stakeholders
* Working within a team environment, with a mixtures of internal and external resources. experience of managing suppliers
* Excellent understanding of financial and commercial modelling and ability to contribute and lead economic & financial options analysis
* Excellent negotiation & Interpersonal skills
* Sound knowledge of the external hosting market place
