IT Functional Analyst

Portland resourcing are looking for an IT functional analyst The candidate will work within the Non-Life IS division. This group is responsible for all Non-Life products related developments (maintenance and new functionalities) of underwriting applications or claims management. The applications are developed based on a Cobol/DB2 Back Office, with various technologies used on the visual, printing and communication side.

*Significant experience as Business and Functional Analyst, ideally in large company, in direct contact with Business stakeholders.
* Experienced in project driven development process.

*Able to think in term of "services".
*Being able to make the bridge between technical and functional worlds.

*Test management principles (TMAP)
*Prince2 methodology

As Functional Designer, you will
*Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach.
*Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
*Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
*Test of the product before delivery to the users
*Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken.
*Follow up of technical designers and programmers.
*Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
