IT Field Ops Technician

Our client in Montgomery, AL is seeking an IT Field Ops Technician for an exciting opportunity.

In the IT Field Ops Technician role you will partner with the Client Services Analyst to provide excellent customer service and proactive technical expertise to facilitate the effective use of IT products and services for our client's customers at the Alabama Power Corporate Headquarters building. This is an operational position responsible for the timely replacement of PC and printers whose lease is up, PC reimaging, and PC Warranty break-fix work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for the IT Field Ops Technician:
Responsible for installing standard, endorsed or certified off the shelf software and/or hardware devices, and provide minimal onsite training to get the client started.
Responsible for interfacing with the customer and other IT groups related to problems and installations as appropriate.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to billing and performance processes and procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Two-year degree (college/technical/vocational) or equivalent experience in electronics, telecommunications and/or computer technology is required.
Ability to logically troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with personal computers and peripheral devices.
Knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and associated peripheral and software components.
Must have demonstrated personal computer skills along with a general understanding of corporate applications and standard desktop products
Ability to work independently, self -starter with good time management skills.
