IT Environment Engineer Job

IT ENVIRONMENT ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Glendale, AZ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Technical Single Point of Contact for the Infrastructure/Environment Midrange and Mainframe Framework and Customer Applications
- Administers, monitors, optimizes, documents and technically supports the Infrastructure/Environments to ensure adherence to the established SLAs for performance, stability, integrity and availability
- Leads, guides and mentors members of the team, provides subject matter expertise, recommendations and guidance to multiple projects.
- Provides technical status reports to the Environment Coordinators and Team Lead.
- Ensures that the assigned Development, Test, QA and UAT Environment change tickets (Elite)and Training and Production RFCs (Maximo) and Incidents tickets (SRS) for the Midrange and/or Mainframe Environments are correctly documented and executed

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to plan, organize and achieve coordinated objectives
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with fellow technical employees and business partners
- Solid understanding of the ITIL Service Management disciplines and how they interact
- Strong technical, interpersonal and business skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of the application development life cycle
- Five (5) + years High-tech industry, application engineering and/or IT work experience.
- Five (5) + years ITIL certified. Has worked in IT Environment that follows established ITIL based procedures.
- Five (5) + years hands-on experience managing and working with a Source Code Deployment Tool ClearCase (Midrange) and Endeavor (Mainframe)
- Five (5) + years experience in IT systems configuration management
