IT Engineer Windows urgently required for one of my clients for an initial period of 9 months contract to be based in Zelzate (near Ghent), Belgium
Job description
My client is looking for an IT person with good computer skills and an excellent knowledge of the Windows environment. Although the tasks are situated around PLC software does this PLC environment not to be known.
Due to the migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 in the "Hot rolling" production department, a number of components/applications must be manually installed and monitored. During this upgrade, new versions of applications and other improvements are implemented
- installation of WinCC clients that also includes a standard diagnostic package
- make it more robust of the WinCC redundancy environment
- an upgrade of a number of components that capture data from "basisautomatisatielaag" along with the rollout of Win7
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of Windows environment
- Any knowledge of command line Scripting (using batch files)
- WinCC environment knowledge is not mandatory
- Good coordination is essential
- High problem solving ability
- Language: Dutch and English
