IT DIGITAL MEDIA ARCHITECT - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
Languages: ENGLISH only.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5-10 years professional experience in the Media environment, among which, several years working as IT architect in an agile environment. IPTV and/or Web and/or App architecture and development experience is a must.
- Master in IT of Industrial or Engineering Sciences or similar by experience.
- Has a proven experience as an IT architect on digital media architectures.
- Is well acquainted with the different components of the Media solution at large (including IPTV, Web and Mobile Apps) or willing to learn the whole ecosystem quickly. As we move towards more T-shaped profiles in the Squads in general, we expect you to be specialised in a number of areas and also acquire a generic understanding of the specialised areas of your colleagues Domain Architects.
- Is able to clearly articulate and defend his/her views on the proposed architecture. At the same time, you are open to other suggestions that enrich the architecture.
- Writes comprehensive architectural documents.
- Organises and leads meetings with internal and external partners.
- Reports and communicates in a clear way, depending on the audience (business, external partners, technical teams).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Collaborate to define the architectural blueprint that is needed to realise our Media roadmap. Your inputs will focus on the media aspects but you are also expected to think and act along the Group interests and guidelines. For this, you will closely interact with the Enterprise Architects and Domain architects.
- Contribute to the already defined (short term) Media roadmap and fine-tune architectural view.
- Assess - from a high level point of view - new business opportunities as expressed by our business stakeholders. You do this according an agile methodology whereby high-level technical impact assessment is done and high-level cost assessment is made.
- Drive - together with the Media Architecture Squad - the architectural runway which is the technical enablers' roadmap (examples can be: micro-services enablement, authentication through Identity and Access Management, API and API Management, cross-platform development practices, digital enablers in general).
