DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a seasoned infrastructure project manager to manage large banking branch moves and data centre migration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery activities within the Banking Branch Migrations and/or Data Center Migrations.

In this role, the Project Manager will be providing experienced project management of all activities including management, data gathering, inventory management, control, monitor and execution of banking branch and data centre Migration activities.

- Will work cross-functionally across business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of IT Infrastructure matters by all levels of management
- Lead planning and/or implementation of migration events.
- Liaise directly with third party service providers to ensure successful move events with zero business impact
- Develop and own the Branch Move and/or Data Centre Communication plan
- Plan and co-ordinate resources required to support move events
- Ensure contingency to re-plan in the event of unforeseen changes
- Act as first point if escalation during move events
- Work with Infrastructure Leads, Project Managers and Service Managers to ensure buy in and support of change.
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
- Provide Data gathering and inventory management plans and controls
- Responsibility for assembling the project staff; for their technical or functional development, performance, and/or termination during the project or projects.
- Manage project and resource allocation.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Follow a defined, agreed upon project management

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years Project Management experience.
- Previous experience managing or leading workstreams within Bank branch moves and/or Data Centre Migration programs or related work experience
- PMP, ITIL, MCITP - an asset
- Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience with banking branch moves, and/or data centre moves
- Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of own professional discipline. Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools
- Initiate and Prepare definition, scope and requirements
- Execute and Control: scope, workplans, resources, deliverables, QA, transition planning, etc.
- Close: completion and assessment Strong and tested project management skills, including sponsor and risk management. - Understanding of IT missions and operations in other areas of IT
- Understands who is the client and what are the client's needs; provides realistic expectations; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
