IT Data Backup Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Augments the company's in-house IT storage staff to manage in-house Enterprise IBM-TSM & Symantec-NetBackup backup and restore environment.

SKILLS

- Must have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience.

MUST HAVE the following Experience/Skills:

- At least 4 years of working experience installing configuring and managing TSM server, client and data protection agent software.
- At least 2 years of working experience installing, configuring, and managing Netbackup server and client.

The following Experience/Skills are preferred, but not required:

- Experience with LANFREE TSM configuration.
- Experience/working knowledge of EMC Data Domain device configuration and operation.
- Experience with Data Center consolidation and data migration.
- Strong working knowledge and experience on UNIX (AIX/Linux/Solaris/HPUX), VMWARE, Windows (2k3, 2k8) and Linux RHEL3 operating systems.
- Proficient skills in writing technical documentation on storage infrastructure for Daily operations.
- Strong knowledge on Data center SAN/Network technologies.
- Experience with multi-site data replication.
- Experience/working knowledge of IBM 3584 tape libraries.
- Experience in ITSM change management model.
- Ability to work with a regional, multi-site cross functional team of employees and service providers.
