IT CONSULTANT
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Providing advice and support on ICT solutions with regard to analysis, target definition, concept development and implementation.
MAIN TASKS:
Evaluation of customer, competitive and in-house systems for technical and commercial points of view.
Creation and assessment of studies and concepts for implementation in informatics taking into account current and future business needs. (Development in technology and the market)
Evaluation, assessment and recommendations for the implementation of hardware, software and telecommunication technologies.
Acquisition and execution of IT consulting projects.
Provide input to the development of short and long term goals, policies and guidelines for the implementation of Information technology.
Advise users on IT concepts and solutions
Creation of customer specific solutions.
Review and audit of informatics projects.
Planning the implementation of IT solutions at the customer site including project management and controlling.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Language, technology, certificates, degrees):
In the context of overall migration program from Exchange/Outlook to gmail, also the "Public Folders" content/service in Exchange will be decommissioned. This project establishes a bulk migration service for the project duration, which supports user groups in saving Public Folder content into Sharepoint platforms.
This role will work as a "migration consultant" in the "public folder retirement" project.
PROFILE
- 1-3 year Sharepoint consulting experience (for site owners, superusers, regular users)
- Excellent English written/spoken; German is a plus
- Excellent interaction with customers, eg in meetings; on the phone
- Able to facilitate up to 4h workshops with customer teams
- 1-3 year Sharepoint training and or support experience - is a plus
- Exchange Public Folder experience is a plus
- Metalogix ContentMatrix or MigrationManager experience is a plus
- Agrees to travel up to 50% of assignment
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Initial analysis of Exchange Public Folder content to identify problematic content for migration (supported by migration operations team)
- Review analysis results with content owner in business and consult and agree on migration plan containing
- Content to leave in PF
- Future content repositories to use
- Mapping of PF folders to SP sites/libraries/folders
- Schedule the PF->SP migration with migration support
- Support content owner/customer, eg
- provide operational contacts for other repositories than Sharepoint
- support to extract PF content as required
- If required, support customer in setting up new SP sites, libraries, folders
- Support setting SP permissions
- review SP sites with data from PF business
- Facilitate final customer review
- Guiding Migration operations team in poland on customer requirements
