IT BUSINESS ANALYST, INFRASTRUCTURE, REINSURANCE, CONTRACT, ZURICH

For our Client, a worldwide renowned Reinsurance Group based in Zurich, Swisslinx is looking for an IT BUSINESS ANALYST within IT Infrastructure Department to work within a small group focusing on requirement elicitation, design, and acceptance testing of new or improved components and solutions, as well as supporting processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ultimately accountable for gathering business functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the
- underlying true needs
- Creation of work breakdown structures, project plans and scoping documents based on collected and evaluated information
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Agreement of the IT infrastructure service targets and quality assurance of service delivery
- Coordinate POC's, and support IT projects/initiatives in the area of services in scope
- Lead the requirement gathering process to define the service strategy for new solutions/services, including future areas that are relevant to supporting business areas
- Stakeholder management regarding the services/activities in scope
- Support the integration of key capabilities into key internal processes.
- Investigate and understand customer problems and design improvement suggestions. Recommend design improvements through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles.
- Advocating IT infrastructure and Service Operation teams within Swiss Re IT
- Interfacing with escalation points and Service Operations teams on non-support related issues

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, WE ARE LOOKING TO FIND THE BEST CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:

- 5+ years' experience with IT implementation projects (technical IT background preferred) as a Business Analyst
- Excellent communication skills with strong customer focus and attention to details
- Strong understanding of ITIL V3 (intermediate certifications/ITIL Expert qualification strongly desired)
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English, German is considered as a plus
- Strong documentation management skills
- Being familiar with modelling techniques like ER, UML, BPMN
- Flair for and basic understanding of IT architectures and patterns
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Multinational experience (ability to work well with varying nationalities)

THIS IS A 6 MONTHS CONTRACT WITH A POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION.
