IT Business Analyst

For our client a global banking company located in Zurich, Harvey Nash is looking for a IT BUSINESS ANALYST FOR A 6-MONTHS CONTRACT.

YOUR ROLE

- Assess existing set-up in terms of data model (format, attributes, sourcing), cleansing activities, reconciliation
- Identify gaps and improvement areas against defined target operating model, scalability, robustness and flexibility requirements
- Prioritize gaps and optimization measures and establish a roadmap to cover tactical and strategic enhancements
- Specify high level and detailed requirements to close the gaps and implement the enhancements
- Evaluate efforts, and sharpen the tactical and strategic investments required to achieve the roadmap
- Provide guidance on the target organizational set-up
- Work with IT functions to deliver requirements where required for implementation
- Provide documentation of processes and business requirements
- Work closely with SME's to ensure that risks and issues are highlighted and escalated in a timely fashion for decision in project working groups

YOUR TEAM

You'll be working withing Group Technology/Application delivery, specifically in the Tax IT team in Zurich.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

You have:

- 8+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst
- experience in tax projects
- RECENT CLIENT TAX REPORTING EXPERIENCE
- END TO END PROJECT EXPERIENCE (OWNERHSIP ACROSS WHOLE PROJECT LIFE CYCLE)
- BCKGROUND IN BOTH DISTRIBUTED (LINUX SERVER TYPE BACKGROUND) AND CENTRALISED (MAINFRAME) SYSTEMS
- can-do attitude
- an understanding of the software development life cycle
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills

You are:

- passionate about supporting the development of IT systems and applications
- technically savvy with an appreciation for IT capability
- adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
- fluent in English (German is beneficial but not a must)
