IT Business Analyst

An exciting, long-term, opportunity for a BUSINESS ANALYST (BA) is available in Brussels, major centre for international politics and home of numerous international organizations, working for one of EU agencies

Tasks will mainly include:

- Defining and documenting functions and processes and drafting functional system requirements and specifications;
- Identifying, defining and documenting business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access;
- Planing, organizing and conducting business process reengineering/improvement project;
- Conducting change impact analysis;
- Participating in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality and providing technical assistance;
- Providing work direction to technical staff and acting as a team lead on designated assignments.

We are searching for the candidate with the following profile:

- Very good knowledge of business process analysis and modelling tools (Aris, Aris expres, Visio);
- Very good knowledge of software development methodologies and tools (RUP, UML 2 or BMPN 2);
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook;
- Able to work both independently and within an international and multicultural team;
- Good understanding of Java, Coldfusion and Sharepoint would be an asset;
- Fluent in both English and French.

The successful candidate should be able to start ASAP. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
