IT Business Analyst

The candidate in this contract position analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

In addition to Technical Business Analyst skills, this candidate needs some PM skills: well organized, able to manage multiple sub-projects (groups of Servers) needing to be refreshed, strong ownership of tasks assigned, detail oriented, and comfortable with repeated submission of detailed data and updates into Project SharePoint. The ideal candidate has worked on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects in an Application Environment, including application migration into new environments. Experience and understanding of working in a Global Business Environment highly desirable.

OVERVIEW

- Configures system settings and options
- Plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing
- Creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements
- Designs details of automated systems
- May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
- Participates in a leadership support role in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure Information Systems Security project
- Proactively prepares for project demands, including reports, updates and ad hoc processes
- Archives project artifacts relative in Project SharePoint site
- Captures and manages source record of application/host asset information
- Utilizes and maintains standard documents, templates and written communications
- Captures and reports project status, issues and risks to project manager
- Reporting, communications and coordination with data center and facilities groups on interdependent activities
- Utilizes and maintains process workflows for each of the remediation methods
- Identifies and maintains application technical and business owner information across scope of applications
- Identifies other key system or business interdependencies

REQUIREMENTS

- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Experience using multiple tools, processes, and methodologies (project management suites, service/workflow request systems, time tracking, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communications at multiple organizational levels
- Highly organized with excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
- Must demonstrate effective problem solving, presentation and leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task given complex projects
- Ability to work independently, provide input to the program/project manager on various activities
- Clear understanding and proficiency across multiple technology platforms and delivery methods
