IT Business Analysis Software Engineer

OVERVIEW:
End to End Solution lead for the Software Engineering product development process

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide Software engineering application thought leadership and solution guidance
- Partner with Software engineering community to define overall process and application solution sets
- Define short and long term process and application strategies
- Define overall Software engineering application and process architecture and ensure integration efficiencies with other engineering processes and applications
- Partner with engineering to deploy processes and applications
- Partner with engineering to support processes and applications
- Requirements gathering and documentation to support application design and test activities
- Application configuration and coding to support the engineering business processes
- Application test creation and documentation of results
- Provides operation support to resolution and escalates incidents based on priority and time frame to senior IT management and senior business customers.
- Maintains communications plan with engineering regarding application roadmaps, the status of problems/incidents, and project plans/status.
- Vendor application relationship management, roadmap influence, and ongoing license optimization and management.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Software Engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering design and Software design applications
- Engineering application selection, configuration, test, deployment and support
- Thorough understanding of engineering design business processes - from concept to design to release to support to end of life.
- Engineering business facing experience
- Strong communicate skills to effectively with work with engineering business and IT partners
- Team leadership and Project Management skills
- JDM process and coordination
- Software Design processes and tools (Smartbear Collaborator)
- Requirements Management processes and tools (DOORS, Polarion, and Cradle)
- Issue and Bug Tracking processes and tools (ClearQuest and Jira)
- Code Management processes and tools (ClearCase and GIT)
