IT Build Engineer

Build system improvements will improve the porting stability for our client's new projects as well as improve build times. The candidate in this contract position will be running, as needed, manual performance tests and reporting performance deltas on private driver changes. This will help reduce the amount of time needed for retrieving information and more quickly diagnose automated validation errors. Offloading these initiatives allows the core driver developers to work more efficiently on features and bug fixes.

OVERVIEW

- Deploy and maintain target images for OS, simulation environments and debug tools.
- Order, receive, inventory and coordinate with local technicians to repair early product development systems.
- Design and implement build system and Scripting improvements to improve driver source code build times and stability
- Conduct as-needed performance tests on internal test drivers and reference applications and report results.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Basic PC build and repair skills
- Experience with OS installation/production image management and deployment
- Software compilation and build experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Linux make/cmake
- Basic experience in software application validation concepts
- Experience with script oriented languages such as Perl or Python
- Some C/C++ development experience
- Experience with source control management systems such as Perforce or SVN
