BACKGROUND:
Our client, a large financial institution, is recruiting for an experience IT Auditor who will report directly to Principal IT Audit Manager. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work on a diverse range of IT, integrated and change/project audits.
THE ROLE:
- Lead and participate throughout the planning, execution and reporting phases on IT,integrated and change/project audits
- Identify deficiencies and underlying issues
- Provide practical, value-added recommendations
- Minimum professional qualification requirement is to have CISA
- Candidates with additional CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, PMBoK, Prince2, or IIA qualifications will have a distinct advantage
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of four years IT Audit experience (with two years as a lead auditor)
- Experience working within an IT team is advantageous
- Preferred professional experience includes banking, other financial services, or a recognized IT consulting or public accounting firm
- Knowledge of IT audit methodologies, tools and techniques required
- Practical experience using control frameworks including COBIT, ISO27001 etc.
- Experience should include working in a number of the below areas:
- Information Security
- Change Management
- Business Continuity
- IT Continuity/Resilience
- IT Infrastructure
- Applications
- IT Projects
Practical experience working with three or more of the following:
- Mainframe
- Tandem
- Network Security
- Virtualised Environment
- Servers (Windows, Unix)
- Active Directory
- Novell
- Databases (Teradata, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, IMS)
- Middleware (Webshere, MQ)
- Firewalls
- Routers
- SwitchesKey Attributes:
- Good understanding of risk
- Concise, easily understood, and timely oral and written communications
- Excellent analytical, problem solving & organizational skills
- Ability to lead IT audits
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with the audit client to facilitate a collaborative working approach
- Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines
