IT Architect e-Archiving

On behalf of our client, an international leading pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are currently seeking an experienced IT Architect. The position will be in Basel and is a 75% work load contract, starting 05.08.2013 until 29.11.2013 with option to extend.
In this challenging role you are part of an international team and you would analyze the corporate strategy, creates application concepts for Hardware/Software and represent the IT architecture. Furthermore you are responsible for the interaction with technical staff and are in charge with vendor selection.

For this position you need:

- Good experience in IT Architecture
- Expertise in Electronic Archiving of structured data (both custom as well as standard applications)
- Very good experience in pharmaceutical environments, preferably within R&D or life science
- Major archive solutions know how
- Experience in running application retirements
- Familiar with Vendor selection process
- RDBMS know how

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Relevant higher education in natural science, maths or informatics
- English is a must, German is a plus
- Experience in working in highly regulated environment (GxP)
- Available within short term
