IT Applications Project Manager Job

IT APPLICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S [JOB WORK SITE] LOCATION.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five plus (5+) years of Application PM experience
- Experience with customer-facing applications

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- IT Project Manager for Customer Applications.
- Execution of PM processes and deliverables
- Bi-Weekly status reporting to the IT PMO
- Manage sponsor expectations
- Ensure that project requirements are documented and achieved
- Maintain regular status updates to project sponsors
- Manage a team of matrixed resources across IT and business support groups

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated effective project management skills, especially planning and directing work efforts, and motivating teammates.
- Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans.
- Demonstrated success with scheduling and financial management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, sometimes unrelated efforts simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively apply established project standards and change management processes
- MUST BE AN IT PROJECT MANAGER with hands on experience on the development side as there is a business PM already on this.
- Education: Four (4) year Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience.
- Five (5) years of IT PM experience
- Customer (Billing) System Experience

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Utility Experience (highly desired)
- MS Project 2010 Proficiency
- Ability to effectively apply structured project management methodologies.
- Experience working with various customer facing applications, complex interfaces, data hub/mart architecture
- Strong technical background with ability to effectively communicate between business and IT experts.
- Experience working with applications highly driven by changing regulatory requirements
