IT Applications Project Manager Job

IT APPLICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CHARLOTTE, NC. Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte location.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5+) years of PM experience within a large enterprise environment.
- Strong work stability

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- IT Project Manager for Customer Applications.
- Execution of PM processes and deliverables
- Bi-Weekly status reporting to the IT PMO
- Manage sponsor expectations
- Ensure that project requirements are documented and achieved
- Maintain regular status updates to project sponsors
- Manage a team of matrixed resources across IT and business support groups
- This will be managing several small projects that are related to applications for marketing, customer portal and social media.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated effective project management skills, especially planning and directing work efforts, and motivating teammates.
- Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans.
- Demonstrated success with scheduling and financial management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, sometimes unrelated efforts simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively apply established project standards and change management processes Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
- Looking for a strong candidate that has three to five (3 - 5) years of experience working on IT applications projects that are customer based.
- Need to have managed several projects at one time before.
- Need strong work stability and good clear communication skills.
