IT APPLICATION SUPPORT - 2ND LEVEL

Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for an experienced IT SUPPORTER to join one of their clients, a well-known company. For this temporary assignment based in Zürich, we are in search of an English-speaking candidate who is available in a short notice.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primarily, this role will be responsible for providing day-to-day Production Support on a wide variety of incidents and requests to our business clients and technical stakeholders. Your solutions will directly benefit our internal users and external clients working on critical Trading & Sales systems. We have high expectations from our Production Support team, and rely on them to act as owners of the Production environment.

- Managing communication with internal clients within the Business and other IT teams (eg Application Development, Technology Infrastructure Services)
- Own and manage incidents through to resolution including investigating complex problems involving multiple systems and involving other IT teams as required
- Act as a leader during major incidents - helping to engage other teams as required and driving resolution of incidents having major impact to our business
- Act as a key stakeholder within development projects to ensure quality within software delivery and onboarding of knowledge from Application Development teams
- Performing out-of-hours work as required within a compensated and pre-allocated shift to provide support for application deployments and support of critical batch jobs/overseas businesses

YOUR PROFILE:

- Significant experience with Unix and Windows (eg handling files, searching logs, checking processes, task schedule, IIS)
- Significant Experience with relational DB and writing SQL queries (Oracle/Microsoft SQL/Sybase)
- Expertise in working with SPLUNK, Apps Dynamics, Geneos (beneficial)
- Strong team player
- Good listening
- Ideally 3-5 years experience required
- Good expertise in analysing Stack Traces

BENEFICIAL TO HAVE:

- ITIL certification or an understanding of the ITIL process
- Knowledge of Banking Systems and business flows
- Knowledge of Control-M, Crontab, Elastic Search, Kibana, Swagger
- Knowledge PowerShell, Bash and Shell Scripting
- Basic knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, specifically JAVA, basic knowledge of Eclipse or other similar IDE
- Good expertise in analysing Stack Traces
- Fair knowledge of messaging systems like MQ, etc.

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 6 months contract with a possibility of further extension
