IT Application Developer/Analyst Job

IT APPLICATION DEVELOPER/ANALYST needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Raleigh, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite at client's location. Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Application Support role: This position will be responsible for providing application development and support for Duke Energy's Time Reporting System; WorkForce EmpCenter.
- This Production Support role includes:
- Vendor software implementation and support
- Software program design and development
- Troubleshooting and resolution of operational problems and issues
- Development and execution of test plans, scripts, and procedures
- Development and maintenance of design and process documentation
- Training and support of system users
- Analysis and documentation of business requirements
- Periodic on-call support (24 x 7)

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum of five years of experience in application support and development
- Experience in Java and JavaScript development
- Ability to write and modify complex SQL statements
- Experience in SQL Server Integration Services
- Thorough knowledge of application development life cycle, including programming experience
- Experience in supporting end users with use of technology and applications
- Experience in troubleshooting IT application problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong team player that works well with others

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to resolve complex issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment with little management oversight
- Ability to present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form to business clients and senior management
- Experience supporting Time Entry or Payroll applications and related interfaces
- Experience in supporting vendor applications and configuration
- Experience in managing and performing production installations and bundled releases
- Experience with CA ESP
