IT Application Analyst Job

IT APPLICATION ANALYST needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Informatica ETL experience
- Visual Studio and C# .NET
- Strong communication skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Application Analyst for this position will support a portfolio of Risk Management applications for Credit Risk and Market Risk functions. The portfolio includes vendor-supported applications, custom-built interfaces and Informatica ETLs, Excel and MSRS reporting, Oracle databases, and Cybermation job scheduling.
- This individual must be a team player and work closely with other team members to provide insight specific to application development, installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Vendor software implementation and testing
- Business consultation and support
- Liaison between business partners and vendor support
- Troubleshooting and resolution of operational problems and issues.
- Analysis and documentation of business requirements
- Occasional development and support of system interfaces
- Periodic on-call support (occasionally during off hours)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Applied knowledge of Risk Management or similar Financial Management area
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and C# .NET - Three or more (3+) years of experience with at least two (2) years with 2008 and greater
- Experience or Oracle (stored procedures, SQL commands) - Three or more (3+) years of experience
- Working knowledge of batch job scheduling and related design principles
- Working knowledge Change Control Software for Source Code Mgmt
- Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design and development
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with both IT and Business Management, including issue resolution, status reporting, and collaborative problem solving
- Solid troubleshooting ability, and follow-through for the delivery of solutions or options for technical issues
- Is able to present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form to senior management and any other necessary audience
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to exhibit self-confidence and a proper level of assertiveness when needed
- Displays maturity in approach and ability to effectively handle stress and frustration

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- This position is for a Sr. Support Analyst with Risk Management experience in the Trading & Marketing area.
- Applied experience with Duke Energy's IMA and data standards and tools
- Experience with using BMC's Remedy Problem Management Module or similar tool
- Applied experience with Duke Energy's standard design and testing tools (Quality Center)
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter ETL Tool
- Experience with ASP .NET (XML, HTML, Web service, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSRS, SQL commands)
