In addition to a demonstrable understanding of some or all of the core business areas mentioned above, candidates will need strong knowledge of PL/SQL and database technology (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server). This role involves building prototypes and ad-hoc solutions and reports for Front Office Treasury business users, so you will need to be strong in Excel and SQL. You should also have a good understanding of reporting tools such as Business Objects and Crystal Reports. Ideally you will have worked with third party trading applications such as Murex (or other). Finally you are likely to have experience of one or more OO programming language (Java, C# etc) as well as Scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
