Project Description:
This position works as part of an engineering team that supports infrastructure and Middleware utilized in seismic processing. It is within the High Performance Computing Services department which is part of TLS and thus ITSO.
This position is our specialist in tape storage and processing. We utilize common Legacy
environment and a cutting edge HSM environment that utilizes IBM's HPSS technology. This role is to support this technology
Skill required:
Has HSM experience
Industry experience in High Performance Computing environment
C/C++ (PROC)
Oracle, MySQL
Programming/Scripting (BASH, Perl, etc.)
Linux OS Systems Mgmt
Seismic processing workflows
Tape Systems Mgmt (media, libraries, HSM, etc.)
Work/Job scheduler knowledge and experience
