Responsibilities for the Information Security Unstructured Data Access Management - Technology Specialist:
- Protects access to documents by defining at a technical level, access privileges, control structures and control solutions for each technology platform in partnership with the Platform Owners
- Recognizes problem areas and vulnerabilities of technical access controls and processes and elevates those to management
- Works to implement security improvements by assessing from a technical perspective, the current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements (from industry, business needs, regulators and control functions)
- Technical specialist of file and document access controls across a range of platforms including windows, Samba & NFS shares, internal social media tools, SharePoint, email and other file transfer systems
- Understands internal and external policies and guidelines, and how to mature technical controls in a cost effective manner
- Creates and produces access control relevant data and reporting (ie # of file shares, counts of users, inherited rights, ACLs, etc.) to drive decision making
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Reviews and produces technical control documents as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years experience as a technical specialist in IT Security or similar function with a focus on Access Control
- Must have experience with Unix MFS, Unix Samba and Windows
- Experience with Access Management & Access Controls
- Specific Information Security or Access Management experience required across File Shares (Windows, NFS, Unix Samba), SharePoint, Outlook/Exchange
- Must show relevant experience in a IT Security Control architecture, design or similar role
- Proven skills to process and analyze large amounts data eg MS Access or other solution to create a data driven technical strategy
- Excellent computer skills. Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
- Strong communication skills, detail oriented with an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
