ISA Vulnerability Tester Job

INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST, VULNERABILITY TESTER NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location. Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- 3+ years of vulnerability testing experience
- Use of vulnerability assessment tools
- Good communication

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Information Security Analyst/Vulnerability Tester has 1-3 years of demonstrable professional experience in IT support and specifically network security.
- Vulnerability Tester must be able effectively use and maintain vulnerability assessment tools (such as Tenable), methodology and procedures.
- Provides support in the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of vulnerability management program
- Conducts hands-on security evaluations, threat modelling and vulnerability assessments of systems infrastructure.
- Performs active analysis of the system for any potential vulnerability that may result from poor or improper system configuration, hardware/software flaws, current operational weakness or technical countermeasures.
- Provides reports to management regarding vulnerability assessment results and makes recommendations for fixes and adoption of new policies, standards and procedures.
- Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them.
- Acts as a consultant on all aspects of system and data security.
- The position requires limited travel and will report administratively to a Manager and will be based in Charlotte, NC

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of 1-3 years IT/technical experience is required
- One or more years of progressive IT support experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills a must.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous Tenable/Nessus experience Nice To Have
- CISSP, Security +, SSCE, CCIE
- Previous Firemon experience
