IS Web Functional Designer (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
The candidate will work in the IS Web Team. He/She will be responsible of the functional design and the delivery of projects. The candidate will be responsible for the solution set-up, the functional follow-up of the realization to lead the projects to their successful implementation.

Objective of the job
° communication & synchronization with project leader & project board members
° collaboration with the architecture teams & the team leaders of the different domains impacted or involved in the project for the scoping & estimation of the project
° adequate communication & reporting to the management (both IT & Business) on the project progress
° test & assess the project implementation

1. Document Objective
Current document aims to describe the mission expectations and most particularly the main operational objectives & services that are expected to be delivered. Services listed in this document are describing the most accurately possible the mission content however the list could not be considered as strictly exhaustive as mission content could of course evolve over time.
This document is communicated at the beginning of the mission and should be signed by the consultant.
2. Job Description
IS Transformation and Technology II is looking for experienced web functional designer to enforce its Web Team. The amount of transformational project is constantly growing and the technology landscape is also evolving really fast.
In this context the mission of the candidate functional designer will be to design solution in many different projects & technologies.
We expect the web functional designer to:
° Organize and moderate workshops with the business client in order to define their business needs.
° Document the functional design
° Explain the functional contents of the projects to the development team (link between users and the development team)
° Monitor/control the functional design.
° Assist the project manager for project planning and follow-up
° Ensure the respect of the functional and technical design standards.
° Help to define the testing approach of the projects with the clients & participate to the execution
3. Reporting
A weekly reporting is expected allowing to assess progress. Reporting should list the performed activities and their status. This reporting is specifically important during hand over phase and first 6 months.
4. Services to deliver
Organize and moderate workshops with the business client in order to define their business needs.

Document the functional design

° Defining the first cut & detailed functional design of systems
° Documenting and maintaining the functional design
° Design the different web patrimonies and keep it coherent in the time

o Ensure everyone has the level of information he needs when he needs it.

Monitor/control the functional design
° Description
o The monitoring/control of the functional design (logical data, functionalities and controls) of the applications of his business domain.
o Validating the deviations needed in the design and controlling they are documented.

Assist the project manager for project planning and follow-up

° Report on progress, timing, scope, quality and budget to the project manager

Je profiel: Required Knowledge and Experience

Level of education required
Educational and experience requirements include engineering degree or equivalent.

Language requirement
*Dutch and French (one fluent, the other one basic at least)

° Good knowledge of insurance processes

Technical experience required >2 Years Experience
Mandatory
° Combination of technical training plus 2 years' experience/knowledge of web development and/or management required.
° Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft .Net applications including Sharepoint.
° Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. And their impact on project activities is vital.…
