Description of Tasks:
More specifically, the IS user support person will have to:
-
Help and coach all end users of the Research and Innovation Family concerning the use of the information systems for the management of the multiannual programmes
-
Whenever required, assist the end users in the configuration of the information systems
-
Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of ITIL processes, namely incident, problem and change management
-
Whenever required, assist in application and end user acceptance test activities
-
Provide any kind of user information (wiki, FAQs) and related business documentation and reporting concerning the IT applications.
Knowledge and Skills:
-
In depth knowledge of information systems matters
-
In depth knowledge in IS support and technical assistance matters
-
Working experience of incident and problem management procedures (ITIL or equivalent)
-
Strong capacity in preparing and writing user documentation and reports
-
Ability to apply high quality standards
-
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator; good command of English is mandatory
-
Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
-
Good knowledge of MS Office tools
Any expertise and experience in at least one of the following IT tools will be an asset: Oracle RDBMS/SQL, JAVA/J2EE, WEB-service technologies (eg SOAP), Coldfusion, PowerBuilder, IBM Rational tool set, Business Objects
