Established in 2005, Xoserve is the heartbeat of the country's gas industry, operating the commercial framework of the sector and facilitating changes for households and businesses wanting to switch their gas supplier.

We employ approximately 300 people at our HQ in Homer Road, Solihull in the West Midlands and were recently acclaimed as one of the Sunday Times'100 Best companies to work for' in Britain.

The IS Officer (Environment & Code management) will be responsible for overseeing the Environment and Code Management Service to ensure that these services and processes are effective and fit for purpose. The IS Officer will be required to build and maintain strong working relationships with Service Partners, Xoserve project team and other parts of the IS Operations department.

Along with this, the IS Officer will also be responsible for ensuring robust Service Management Processes are in place and are adopted to ensure that Xoserve delivers Continual Service Improvements.

To be successful in this role you will act as a bridge between subject matter experts within the team and the 3rd party suppliers to ensure required for current and future programmes of work are managed to stakeholder requirements. You will do this by being able to look at issues around code management, continuous integration and environment set up. You will suggest improvements to the current process and provide new and proven solutions to make the environment set up much more cost effective and efficient.

Excellent communication skills are paramount in this role and you must have experience of communicating effectively across all levels. The ability to facilitate challenging meetings and discussions with collaborative output is also essential. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a significant environment transformation program and is an ideal role for someone who has come from a background in code and environment but made the transition to be project management.
