IS Data Warehouse Technical Analyst

One of our prestigious clients is looking for an IS data warehouse technical analyst for a 6 month project based in Brussels, Belgium.
All potential candidates must be fluent in English and fluent in either French or Dutch (with good knowledge of the other). All candidates must also have a university degree.

In the context of a project to develop and extend a DWH based on SAS our client is looking for an experienced technical analyst with good knowledge of Mainframe and Cobol technologies.
In our clients day to day activities they work closely with the business. They capture the requirements for data analysis, they describe and model data, they design the solution to have a good fit with the requirements, they set-up the solution basis for data analysis and support the business during their analysis.

Business experience (mandatory);
- Proven background in insurance business or equivalent (financial/banking etc.)

Technical experience (mandatory);
- Experience in data warehouse analysis
- Advance data analysis capabilities

Technical knowledge (preferable);
- Knowledge of ERWIN designer
- Knowledge of Cobol
- Knowledge of SAS data integration

Function experience (mandatory);
- Experience in Datamodelling & data analyst
- Knowledge of Agile mythologies

Objectives of the job:
Translating business requirements into technical analysis documents
- Design and maintain the enterprise data model according to the enterprise architecture principle of AG Insurance
- Support and collaborate with the off-shore development team for the successful implementation of the required reports
- Prepare & execute the necessary test cases based on the requirements to meet the expected quality
- Ensure the follow-up of day-to-day processes (monitoring)
- Assisting the project manager for project planning and follow-up
- Designing the different data patrimonies and keep it coherent in the time
- Ensuring the respect of the AG Insurance functional and technical design standards.
