IS Coordinator (Oracle PL/SQL), Brussels

An exciting opportunity is currently available in Brussels for a FRENCH AND ENGLISH SPEAKING IS COORDINATOR (ORACLE PL/SQL). This position is located in the public sector through an IT services provider.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate a client-specific application based upon Oracle 10, Flex and PL/SQL
- Assure the second level user support for the application
- Participate in the tests of new versions. Discover bugs, propose improvements.
- Liaise with the development team,
- Improve the user documentation information systems taking into account frequently asked questions by users,
- Manage data quality and perform data corrections (after approval by the data owners)
- Analyse, review, improve and document existing and future database components
- Develop PL/SQL store procedures, functions and packages that implement business logic
- Provide assistance to development team members in writing complex SQL queries
- Provide daily support of the application and assistance to other development teams
- Provide expertise to improve the efficiency, quality and reliability of Assmal2
- Maintain database schema's in multiple environments
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning
- Provide expertise in areas pertaining to Oracle database technologies
- Participate in defining and promoting best practices relating to database development
- Prepare activity reports for project management

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of Oracle data analysis and database design experience
- Very good knowledge of Oracle 10g
- Knowledge of Oracle 11g is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL
- Knowledge of entity relationship model, UML
- Knowledge of Oracle Designer, TOAD, SQL
- 2+ years of Unix Scripts experience
- Good knowledge of Pro*C language would be advantageous

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

- Very good English (oral/written)
- Very good French (oral/written)
