IPV Reserving - Exotic Rates

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Group Services are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

This is an exciting opportunity to join the IPV team for 6 - 12 months.

The team contains approximately 12 individuals performing IPV and reserving processes across Equities, Rates and Hybrids asset classes.

- Their key responsibility is to ensuring that the Exotics Rates and RoR businesses are in line with the following key Markets BUC policies:
- Independent Valuation of Trading Book Position's
- Valuation Adjustments Reserving for Trading Book Position's
- Prudential Valuation
- Significant P&L from Trade Activity.
- IPV & Reserving testing is completed both daily and monthly - with the month end testing providing the greater coverage.
- Each month end detailed analysis, challenge, discussion and sign-off is completed with the appropriate level of sign-off within Front Office, Market Risk and Finance B based on supervisory requirements.
- Development, enhancements and improvements to IPV & Reserving controls including appropriate Finance or Front Office driven projects.
- Close liaison with the trading floor to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of trading queries.

Key skills:

- Good IPV experience.
- Good product knowledge - Preferably exotic derivative experience, Interest rates or credit.
- Excellent excel - VBA.
- Will also consider candidates with Market Risk experience or with Product control if you have relevant product knowledge and technical skills.
- Ideally you would have a engineering degree or Finance Masters or similar technical subject.
