IP Network Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IP NETWORK ENGINEER to support our client in Greenwood Village, CO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Member of a team of engineers responsible for client´s Product Development and Access and Transport Services.
- The individual will be a key contributor to the development and deployment new CB Products.
- This position will be responsible for testing and integration of multiple vendor products into client´s Transport and Access network.
- Hands on work in a lab or cable system environment are required to validate test plans and configurations before service deployment.
- Participation in industry working groups and technical forum related to technology development and standards.
- The individual will also support vendors with product and service requirements based on client's business needs and internal customer requests.
- Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork
- Member of a team of engineers responsible for Product Development and Testing.
- Responsible for testing, evaluation, integration and configuration of Access Networks
- Ability to accomplish activities related to system design, equipment configuration and installation, integration, testing and service validation prior to commercial deployment.
- Develop documentation related to design and proper configuration of system components.
- Troubleshoot and analyze transport, networking and software configurations.
- Provide briefings and project status reports to senior management
- Perform other duties as directed by senior management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- B. Education (level and type).
- BSEE or equivalent experience.
- The position requires strong technical skills working knowledge of IP routing, Switching, MPLS, and VPLS technologies.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties.
- Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services.
- Knowledge of IP Routing and ISIS routing protocol.
- Knowledge of network design, architecture, protocols and topology.
- Should have excellent knowledge in M2M, In-Home Router industry standards and design/implementation (MoCA, IPv4/IPv6, TR-069, IPSEC, QoS, 802.11).
- Should have excellent industry knowledge, 3GPP (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE), 3GPP2 (1xRTT/EVDO) and/or OMA.
- Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors a plus .
- Should have excellent knowledge with common mobile handset operating systems (Windows Mobile, Android and other Java-Linux platforms) and knowledge of UICC/SIM chipsetsvisit our website to learn more about our company.
