IP Engineer

THE ROLE:

- Participate in or develop detailed designs of the Core Network in the logical order of network level designs, network element designs, and data fills.
- Hands on role which requires experience in Juniper.
- Quality production, documentation and implementation of configuration changes.
- Implementing/updating Juniper MPLS layer 2 VPNs
- Adherence of new design to the design guidelines/strategies.
- Impact assessment of configuration changes on services, performance and revenue.
- Optimising implementation changes.
- Timely production of designs and configuration changes.
- Development of Tools for configuration changes.
- Consultancy on Design/Configuration issues
- Participation in Project teams representing Design/Configuration. Seamless implementation of changes in the Core Network
- Implementation activities included are configuration loading, software upgrades, software updates, new functionality or system integration, subscriber/link migration, and re-parenting.
- Ensure implementation is in accordance with detailed designs and project timeframes.
- Develop or review implementation and fallback procedures.
- Generate Core Network designs within project timeframes

Your Background:

- Experience and Certified in Juniper
- Layer 2 & 3 VPN Technical Experience
- Good TCP IP Skills
- Understanding of OSI/Packet Level OSFP, BGPMP, BGP, QOS
- VMware - virtualisations
- Solid MPLS, Routing Cisco & Juniper ( Must Have - Juniper, Experience in using M320, MX960, M7i, MX480, T1600, MPLS - VPN, Cisco
- Experience with F5 Load balancers
- Firewall fundamentals
- FW Routing and Switching
- Experience on a CORE Telco Network
