IOS Objective C Developer

My client, a Multinational with HQ in Dublin City Centre, seek an experienced IOS/OBJECTIVE C DEVELOPER to join a Mobile Development team.

This client are serious about hiring, and growing their already impressive mobile development team (iOS, Android and even RIM)

They require an additional iOS contract developer for a financial services iOS build.

It is an interesting project in that it is an iOS Development project, in which part of it is converting code from Matlab to iOS. You would be working alongside a Matlab and C++ expert to do this.

Any reference to algorithms and mathematics knowledge will be in reference to this. If you have strong mathematically mind, this would be beneficial.

Role Summary:

The Mobile Developer will work within their Technology team in ourDublinoffice to convert server-based biometric algorithms into lightweight versions capable of running on iOS or Android smartphones and tablets. The original algorithms were developed in Matlab and C/C++ and process face and voice samples captured on the mobile device, using the phone's cameras and microphones. Strong quantitative skills will be required to work alongside the original biometric algorithm developers to migrate the complex mathematical functionality and image processing techniques used by the algorithms to the mobile platform. The Mobile Developer is expected to have experience in one or more device platforms, possess the flexibility and desire to learn new technologies, have strong knowledge of app deployment capabilities, and can demonstrate solid UI/UX design. Experience with image processing, computer vision, or signal processing on mobile platforms desirable.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with a product focus
- B.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years developing applications in iOS
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
- Knowledge of Multithreaded programming
- Experience with HTML5 based applications
- Experience with computer vision and image processing algorithms a plus

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE STRONG IOS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THE PLATFORM VERY WELL. C/C++ WILL BE VERY BENEFICIAL.

The role is based in Dublin City. 6 month contract initially, rolling.
