MOBILE IOS DEVELOPER
A well known multinational company seek a SENIOR MOBILE IOS DEVELOPER with expertise in Objective-C/C++ to work on an expanding Mobile Development Team Excellent daily rates and a contractor friendly environment await you. This is an initial 6 month daily rate contract, which is very likely to extend beyond this. This will be based in their headquarters, in South Dublin. As things stand, this company have Hybrid applications. They are however, seeking assistance in developing an independent IOS application. They currently have two more junior IOS developers in place, which sit in the wider development teams in their IT divisions. This is an excellent opportunity to put your own stamp on a well respected brand. Because they are very well renowned, and this application will be downloaded by many, it is considered a high profile project. Although there are opportunities to grow within the company, if you did decide to move on, having this project on a CV would be most impressive. They, as a company place a large amount of importance on this project, and have dedicated the resources accordingly. IDEALLY, YOU W ILL BE COMING FROM A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND, WITH 4 YEARS + EXPERIENCE. YOU WILL IDEALLY HAVE 1 YEAR + EXPERIENCE WITH OBJECTIVE C DEVELOPMENT.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Product Development and Web Development teams to ensure the best possible experience for the iOS platform.
- Develop exciting native UIs and functionality for exciting and popular online brands.
- Contribute clean, secure and maintainable code to the product
- Ensure that all code developed is adequately unit tested.
- Mentor more junior members of the team on best practice, new technologies and techniques.
- Optimise code and UIs for performance.
- Work within a Scrum team to deliver user stories
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience.
- Real-world experience (please include your portfolio) building complex applications for the iPhone or iPad using Objective-C/C++ with Cocoa or other frameworks (eg Xcode).
- 2+ years of mobile application development experience (native or HTML5).
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience designing clean and maintainable APIs and extendable UIs
- Knowledge of iOS SDK performance tools and optimization techniques
This company can facilitate an immediate start. However, they are happy to accommodate a notice period where necessary.
