INVESTMENT SPECIALIST - LEICESTER - £500 - CISI/SIPP - 6 MONTHS ROLLING

ROLE

-Thorough and methodical research with critical evaluation to rapidly achieve a comprehensive and objective understanding of problems and opportunities.
-Identifying and documenting potential solutions considering all available information and constraints.
-Recommending and managing implementation of solutions including upstream and downstream impacts.
-Effectively applying any applicable professional standards to projects/tasks.
-Identifying and liaising with project/task stakeholders on an on going basis.
-Producing project and communication documents/reports in a professional manner.
-Adhere to relevant methodologies and standards to meet the needs of a fast paced changing business.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

-Hands on broad knowledge of the Back Office investment trading life cycle including:
- Processing investment trades
- Settlements
- Asset servicing including corporate actions and distributions
- Investment administration
- Pricing and valuations - Experience of investments gained in a high volume processing environment or fund administration team 
-Use creativity and out-of-box thinking to develop successful process improvements
-Be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment
-Be self-motivating and work to a high personal standard
-Strong communication skills

Desirable

-Technical knowledge of investments and their tax treatment
-Experience of streamlining or improving processes
-Writing technical training documents

Professional Experience

Minimum of five years' experience working in investments

Tax qualification, for example

-Level 3 Certificate in Investment Operations (CISI)
-Investment Management Certificate
-Associate of Tax Technicians
