Investment Banking Experience Required - Virtualisation Engineer

Caspian One require a Virtualization Engineer for a Tier 1 Investment Bank.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE COME FROM A BANKING OR FINANCE BACKGROUND - THIS IS BECAUSE YOU WILL REQUIRE PYTHON/PERL SCRIPTING EXPERIENCE AND HAVE STRONG LINUX EXPERIENCE.

The Virtualization Engineering team require a very competent engineer with deep VMware infrastructure experience. The engineer will work in designing, testing and configuring the platform hosting many thousands of virtual Servers and desktops. The main drive behind this requirement is to deal with the roll out of the latest ESX version of VMware and the integration vSphere solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for the contribution to certification, benchmarking, performance monitoring and capacity management.

Essential Experience:

Deep VMware knowledge/experience

Strong Linux skills

Investment Banking experience/Financial experience

Systems Management experience

Strong networking and storage infrastructure knowledge

VMware ESXi/KVM experience

SAN/NAS Configuration management

Python/Perl Scripting

ITIL

Windows

Performance Testing/Benchmarking
