Investigation Officer

I am looking to hire a INVESTIGATION OFFICER for one of my Public Sector Client. Please read the below job Specification

JOB SPECIFICATION:

- To enhance the capacity and capability of the CSE Referral Bureau in dealing with the high number of referrals of CSE material that it receives from industry partners, international law enforcement and members of the public.
- Receive, triage and action incoming referrals to the UK on behalf of law enforcement partners.
- Work closely with the Communications Data Unit in processing requests under RIPA for the acquisition of communications data in relation to those suspected of committing offences.

ESSENTIAL:

- Good skills in writing and disseminating intelligence logs.
- Experience of effectively writing RIPA applications for telecommunications data.
- Flexible and capable of capable of working to tight deadlines.
- Effective team working skills.

DESIRABLE:

- Experience of intelligence or investigation of indecent images of children.
- Experience in the use of Child Exploitation Tracking System (CETS). Otherwise this training will be provided following appointment.
- Experience of use of Cycomms for submitting RIPA applications. Otherwise this training will be provided following appointment.
- If contractors have ANY spent or unspent criminal convictions for any offence including all cautions and bindovers, but EXCLUDING minor traffic offences, they will not be eligible. The post for which they have applied is NOT protected by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
- Selected contractors will be required to complete Security Vetting paperwork. Contractors MUST disclose if they have a criminal conviction or cautions, including those that are spent, as part of this process.
- Under normal circumstances, contractors cannot start an assignment until security clearance has been verified (for contractors holding the required level of security clearance) or the security clearance process has been undertaken (for contractors without the required level of security clearance) by the organisation.
