Inventory Manager

Background

General Purpose:
Provide expertise to improve processes for management of inventory, identify & implement improved performance measurement to better facilitate stock management & procurement. Identify Optimum stock holding levels & ensure all relevant KPI's are developed & implemented within team & managed on the supplier.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to propose improvements & best practise inventory management methods
Analyse and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management (for example, review stock levels/stock turn/availability/supplier performance metrics & governance)
Analyse of data to establish best method to determine decisions on purchasing
Manage stock levels to budgets & strategic requirements - reporting on performance to all levels
Be key interface with logistic areas/depots etc
Be the customer interface for all inventory within the area
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends via robust reporting capture
Engage all key stakeholders & ensure effective communication
Coach other in process & uplift skills sets
Support the development with others of a training/role out programme
Inventory Management In collaboration with others, establish improvement opportunities to current processes, governance and operating model for inventory management end to end.
Effectively communicate & engage key stakeholders.
In collaboration with others, develop and implement governance process to capture & communicate performance Introduce core measurements/KPI's to enhance the performance of inventory management.
Develop & coach teams to increase capability
Optimise stock effectively to improve availability whilst being creative around supply methods, stock turns, safety stocks
Share/coach your strong understanding of stock coverage/service level requirements/economic order qty's/demand drivers and the complete awareness of the financial impact of excessive & obsolete inventory
Data Reporting In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
Develop graphs, reports, and presentations to detail performance
Create and present quality dashboards
Generate routine and ad hoc reports
Develop & coach teams to complete this for future use

Skills/Experience Required
Proven ability in leading development Inventory management. Industry experience of S&OP Proven industry experience of stock optimisation. Ability to drive process improvement & change in an organisation Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner. Ability to engage & motivate others in a leadership

Additional Comments
Due to the nature of the business and the length of the contract, having a current Security Clearance will be highly advantageous.
