Inventory Controller Job

INVENTORY CONTROLLER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Sunnyvale, CA.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Creates, organizes and maintains NPI inventory stockrooms.
- Responsible for integrity of inventory counts in NPI stock and WIP locations.
- Pulls kits as identified by NPI Production Controller or NPI Materials Manager for New Product Builds.
- Creates and publishes shortage reports based on kitting results to NPI Materials group for status by NPI Buyers.
- Reviews status and proactively moves received material to NPI Production
- Control or to kits to fill shortages as they are received.
- Responsible for the inventory integrity of all NPI inventory and WIP locations.
- Performs required SAP inventory transactions in Real Time to accomplish this.
- Assists NPI Purchasing with resolving supplier problem shelf items
- Able to audit compliance on NPI
- Materials policy and communicate status/results to NPI Materials Manager.
- Provides continuous improvement feedback and implements processes accordingly. Includes updates to NPI Inventory Control DOP.
- Analyze and publish to NPI Materials team weekly inventory aging reports. Disposition material according to results.
- Lead the execution of cycle count processes for stockroom inventory and NPI WIP locations count and reconciliation.
- Develop communication relationship with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving and IQC.
- Fulfill employee training record requirements/updates per supervisor direction.
- Other duties as assigned by NPI Materials Manager.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Possess either high school or AA degree
- Possess minimum two (2) years prior warehouse experience in all aspects of receiving, shipping, and inventory control activities (cycle counts, physical inventory, kitting, etc.)
- Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently each day
- Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting) is required (at least 70% of hours worked)
- Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in completing work assignments while complying with verbal and written instructions
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Prior computer experience (including MS Office products and ERP systems). SAP and Agile required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Operations management education (APICS, ISM, etc.) is a plus.

Job duties include: MRP materials transactions and trouble-shooting; perform document and reconcile inventory cycle counts; manages interfaces with shipping and receiving department; and facilitates movement of all new product materials to its appropriate destination. Member of cross-functional NPI Materials Group.
