INTERNET SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/LINUX
BRINE SA is currently looking for a System Administrator for the following Role:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, manage, monitor, maintain and upgrade the Web environment.
- Plan, organize and direct daily operations. Establish and implement policies and procedures for the external developers. Authorize the development of specifications for products or services, Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs, Oversee the analysis of data and information.
- Ability to deal with external contractors.
- On Call
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
As a member of the GNU/Linux & CDN Solutions team the Internet System Administrator will be in charge of the whole infrastructure hosting the Web applications and provide the necessary support and enhancement of all related projects
KEY SKILLS
- 5-7 years of real world Web experiences
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and complete assigned projects responsibilities with limited supervision.
- High degree of professionalism (use of best practices)
- English good/French fluent
- 24H/24H 3rd level support
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- GNU/Linux expertise (RHEL & derivatives preferred).
- Fluent in Linux command line usage and Shell Scripting
- Solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP )
- Solid understanding of web security & performance best-practices.
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby.
- Experience with automation/configuration management (Puppet a plus).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Containers) a plus.
- Knowledge of a CDN solution a plus.
- Passionate, proactive team player
DESIRABLE:

Experience in databases, semantic web, web development
