INTERNET MARKETING ANALYST SANTA CLARA, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining support for our client's presence and voice on the Internet. This includes understanding the needs of the various constituencies, translating those needs into an integrated Internet marketing plan that includes positioning, messaging, content, editorial review and approval, and integration with other marketing assets/processes.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:

- Maintain business ownership of assigned sections for Internet based assets - ie websites, blogs, communities, newsletters, etc.
- Measure Online media metrics and impact on marketing campaign
- SEM and SEO campaign management
- Manage budgets, spend, and run campaigns
- Content syndication
- Use Excel based tools to aggregate and analyze large amounts of data
- Advanced Excel data management including pivot table building and chart construction
- Use of online media tracking methods and metrics to analyze client campaigns
- Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Omniture and Coremetrics
- Build and develop business relationships to ensure the highest level of quality, including message and content integrity, and integration into other marketing vehicles and processes.
- Offer guidance and management for web standards and best processes in on line areas such as search engine marketing, search engine optimization, web 2.0 technologies and processes.
- Engage in consultative planning to meet business requirements and optimize the on line experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Marketing, Computer Science, a business discipline or a related field; Master's degree or global equivalent preferred
- Typically 2 years of experience in a technology and/or business environment
- Marketing, communications or on line agency experience a plus
- 3+ years experience in SEM, SEO, social or display campaign management is desirable
- 1 year experience in direct client management role
- Outstanding Excel data management including expertise in organizing data for analysis, pivot table building, chart construction
- Excellent pattern and trend recognition using Excel-based tools to aggregate large amounts of data
- Strong understanding of online media metrics and their impact on client campaigns
- Extensive experience in building and presenting detailed analyses to decision makers
- Customer-centric focus on understanding and translating the needs of the customer to match internal business goals and objectives
- Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration with an emphasis on building solid working relationships
- Knowledge of corporate goals and objectives, markets, competitors, positioning and offerings
- Ability to listen, solve problems, maintain flexibility and meet deadlines
- Strong applied Internet marketing background
- Content and editorial management skills
